Who we are.

We are baristas, wholesalers, retailers, coffee roasters and cafe managers with extensive coffee knowledge. Backed by Rubra Coffee, the WA Barista Training Lab is at the forefront of coffee training. Our trainers have a wealth of barista experience behind them, with 15 years of training baristas in our own Cafe and drive through locations - not to mention countless hours training our Cafe clients staff. 

Your classes

Every class is focused on your practical skills, coupled with the science to back it up. Our trainers know its imperative to get as much practice of making coffee as possible. Each class is designed to give you the skills to become a barista or master your at home coffee experience. 

Our classes are not just a show and tell. Each step of making coffee is broken down, easy to follow and demonstrated with scientifically backed theory. 

Our head trainer has over a decade of barista experience in the industry, as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. All of the classes have been designed with the VARK learning modalities in mind. We cover all four learning styles - visual, auditory, reading/writing preference and kinaesthetic, to ensure that every student gets the very best opportunity to get the most from the training.
